There isn't a correlation. Plenty of countries have strict gun controls and a lot of gun-related crime. Switzerland, on the other hand, has a higher percentage of assault rifles in private hands than any other country in the world, and a crime rate as close to zero as makes no difference.

And vice versa many times over. You can only prove that there ISN'T a correlation between having guns at home, and keeping crime at bay.

in most cases boys that are raised by a single parent and with no positive male role model and father figure and a mostly poor or lower income background are more likely to commit crimes
also those that are raised in homes where 1 or more members of the family are incarcerated are more likely to become incarcerated as well

there are cultures that do not see jail and prison as a shameful ending and believe that saying "no i dont do drugs i just skoke weed" makes it right in areas that say marijuanna is illegal

Did you watch the video? They said they were sending "specially trained officers" out. Seconds after the officers arrived, the guy had four bullets in his belly. No "less than lethal" rounds were even tried. These officers were specially trained to kill. Nothing else. I say police state.

Actually if I lived there I would gladly give up my gun. I also grew up with certain rights here that are no longer in effect such as seat belts were optional, baby seats weren't heard of, smoking was every where and so forth on and on it goes - ours laws changed for the better but lots still cry my rights and freedom.

 

All those things make sense. But taking away a persons right to defend themselves is just crazy IMHO. Especially when you have an out of control government. Kind of like nazi Germany.
